In the past few years, according to the need and direction of the Ministry of Energy and Tavanir Company to expand the use of bare and coated aluminum alloy conductors in the country’s distribution lines, this company was prompted by reinvestment to provide the possibility of producing this type of conductors in coated form as well. It became the coated aluminum alloy conductor in the country.

In addition, due to Tovanir company’s orientation to use 5-wire self-supporting cables with null and common alloy support, it has been possible to supply them to manufacturing companies.

According to the growing trend of using insulated overhead lines in distribution networks, Alumtec has started producing overhead conductors with XLPE coating.

The conductors used in distribution networks are aluminum alloy (AAAC) and aluminum with steel core (ACSR).

Alumtek

Alloy conductors are widely used due to increased mechanical resistance and prevention of tearing and corrosion.

The thickness of the coating is 2.3 mm according to the voltage used in medium pressure lines (1-36 Kv).

Application

Coated conductors are used in distribution overhead lines with a maximum voltage level of 24KV.

Features

The conductors used in distribution networks are aluminum alloy (AAAC) and aluminum with steel core (ACSR).

Alloy conductors are widely used due to their increased mechanical resistance and prevention of tearing and corrosion.

The coating thickness is 2.3 mm according to the voltage used in medium pressure lines (1-36 kv).

Coating The material used is black cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and has the necessary resistance to solar ultraviolet (UV) rays. According to the customer’s request, these conductors can be produced with coatings such as PE, PVC and XLPE or a combination of them in one or more layers.

Reference standards

Coated conductors are produced according to BS-EN and EN50397 standards.
